Ranches is in New Zayed, west of Cairo in Giza. The fact sheet estimates about 5 minutes to Sphinx Airport and Smart Village, 10 minutes to the 26th of July Corridor and 25 minutes to the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Ranches is a signature development by Dorra Developments, part of Dorra Group, which was founded in 1943.

All homes are one-storey: standalone villas of 350–450 m² and twin houses and townhouses of 285–340 m² built-up area, according to the fact sheet.

Ranches covers 300 feddans with around 900 homes, a 15% building footprint and 10,000 trees.

An equestrian club and academy, an exclusive clubhouse, a sports club, a commercial area, a neighbourhood convenience centre, an international school, a boutique hotel by JAZ and a wellness centre by Premedion.
